Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT) is a private engineering college in the Chhattisgarh district of Durg. The institute was founded in 1986 and is affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The campus is 27 acres in size and is well-equipped with modern amenities.

BIT offers undergraduate courses in computer science and engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering. Postgraduate courses in Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are also available at the institute. BIT also offers a diploma course in Mechanical Engineering in addition to these programmes.
