  1. The majority of engineering colleges in India hold entrance exams to select candidates for admission. In India, the two most common engineering entrance tests are:

    • Joint Entrance Examination Main: JEE Main, conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA), is an entrance exam used to admit students into undergraduate engineering programs at the National Institutes of Technology.

    • Joint Entrance Examination Advanced: This test is administered by an IIT for undergraduate admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology.

    Some states and universities conduct their own entrance exams in addition to the national level tests.

  2. Eligibility Criteria Candidates must meet certain criteria to be considered for admission to engineering programs.
