SRM University is among India’s top-ranking universities offering various undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses under its four campuses. It was established as SRM Engineering College in 1985 under the University of Madras. The SRM University, Vadapalani Campus was established in 2011. The campus offers courses under the schools of Mechanical Engineering, Computing, Electrical and Electronics, Basic Sciences, Languages, Management, Computer Science, Commerce, English and Mathematics.

Candidates have to apply through the common applications available on the university website.
Candidates having successfully completed class 12th can apply for admissions to various undergraduate courses.
Admissions to B.Tech will be based on the entrance exam conducted by the university- SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) or JEE Main scores.
For other courses, candidates will be admitted on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam.
Graduation degree in the concerned disciplines is necessary for applying for PG courses.
For MBA courses, admissions will be made through SRMJEE (PG) or CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ TANCET.

At under graduate level, SRM University offers Bachelor’s in Technology. Candidates must have obtained Higher Secondary Examinations Certificate with at least 50% aggregate marks. Qualifying exam must be passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. For admissions to B.Tech courses, the university conducts its entrance exam- SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE). List of qualifying candidates will be published at the official website.

Key Points:

Direct admission is offered for candidates who have secured first rank in class 12th, under 1000 in JEE Main, top rankers in all districts of Tamil Nadu and Sports (National/ International) level.

RM University, Vadapalani UG Admission 2021

Apart from B.Tech courses, under graduate courses are offered in Business Administration, Science, Computer Applications, Commerce and Arts. For B.Sc (Computer Science) and BCA it is necessary that candidates must have studied Mathematics or Computer Science with Mathematics in class 12th.

Candidates must have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in qualifying examination to apply for various under graduate courses. Admissions to all the UG courses will be based on marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam.

At its Vadapalani campus, the university offers post graduate courses in Commerce and Arts. Candidates seeking admissions to MA (English), musty have obtained Bachelor’s in concerned disciplines with at least 50% aggregate marks.

Applicants who have obtained graduation degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science or Business Management are eligible to apply for M.Com. Admissions to M.Com and MA (Arts) are made through the merit list issued based on candidate’s score in qualifying degree examination.
