IIT Hyderabad Internship 2024

IIT Hyderabad offers internship opportunities to all undergraduate students under the Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure (SURE) scheme. The IIT Hyderabad internship under SURE is a one-month or two-month-long internship opportunity organized between May and July and the internship application opens on 10th March.

The IIT Hyderabad internship of SURE allows the enrolment of a total of 200 interns of which 50 seats are exclusively reserved for girls only. The SURE internship offers a minimum stipend to graduates of INR 15,000 Per intern altogether for 2 months, INR 7,500 Per month per intern, and INR 10,000 for one and a half months per intern.

IIT Hyderabad has set some basic eligibility criteria for UG students who are non-IIT Hyderabad and wish to apply for the SURE internship program. 

• The candidates should be a first-year MSc (Maths/Physics/Chemistry/Biology) or first Year in MA or 2nd/3rd Year in B.Tech./B.Des.(All branches included) or 3rd/4th Year Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech. program.
• The applicant’s eligibility should be among the top 20% based on the CGPA score or percentage in all the previous years in his/her discipline in the recognized College/Institute/University and to be certified by the Head of the Institute/Principal at the time of the application.
• The candidate should be a full-time/regular undergraduate student at the time of application and till the completion of the internship.
• The applicant has to work full-time for a minimum of one month of the Internship and a Part-time/online internship will not be entertained.

IIT Hyderabad Cutoff 2024

IIT Hyderabad conducts various entrance exams for its UG and PG degree courses like JEE, GATE, CEED, or UCEED. The university releases a cut-off list for the IIT Hyderabad admission process and the candidate who appears in the merit list can further proceed to the counseling round.

The IIT Hyderabad cut-off list for the 2023 B.Tech program is out and the candidates who qualify for the JEE Main cutoff percentile will be eligible for the next round of admissions, i.e. JEE Advanced entrance exam. Candidates who meet the entrance exam of the JEE Advanced cutoff will be shortlisted for the round-wise JoSAA counseling, which is expected to begin on June 10, 2024.

IIT Hyderabad Scholarship 2024

IIT Hyderabad scholarships are offered to students who belong to the financially backward class and do not have enough financial resources to spend on higher education. The scholarship schemes are promoted and offered by the government to support education of the meritorious students. Here are the two scholarships offered by the IIT Hyderabad. 

 Merit- cum- Means (MCM)

• This scholarship is offered to candidates belonging to the GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC category.
• The Parental Gross Income shall not exceed more than INR 4,05,000 for any category students.
• An income Tax Return (ITR) along with Acknowledgement from the IT Department has to be submitted as Income Proof of Parents (Father and Mother or Guardian, if any).
• The number of students to be granted MCM scholarships will be limited to 25% of the total class strength.
• The student should gain a minimum SGPA/CGPA of 7.0 or above with no fail grade in any type of course/program.
• The Shortlisted candidates are eligible for Pocket Money of INR 1,000 per month.

ST / SC Scholarship

• Scholarship-eligible candidates belonging to the SC/ST category can apply for the same.
• The Parental Gross Income can not exceed more than INR 4,05,000 for any category.
• An income Tax Return (ITR) with Acknowledgement from the IT Department has to be submitted as Income Proof of Parents (Father and Mother or Guardian, if any).
• The student should secure a valid SGPA/CGPA of 7.0 and above with no Fail Grade in any type of course.
• The Shortlisted students are eligible for Pocket Money of Rs.250 per month and are eligible for a refund of the License Fee and Dining Charges at actuals and as per the eligibility.
