While the neet 2024 exam date was earlier scheduled to be held on June 23rd, 2024, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare postponed the exam as a preventive measure and stated that the "recent allegations about the integrity of certain competitive exams". An official notification dated June 22nd stated that the ministry has decided to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the sustainability of the NEET-PG processes for medical students. The new NEET PG 2024 exam date will be released this week on 2nd July 2024.
According to NBE sources, the plan has been shared with the Center and the NBE is awaiting its approval. The NBE postponed the National Post Graduate Diploma (NEET PG) entrance test on June 22nd, less than 12 hours before the exam was scheduled to take place. Now the exam can be done in August (tentative). NBE will soon announce the revised date of the neet exam PG 2024 in the first week of July.
NBEMS President, Abhijat Sheth said that the neet PG exam date 2024 will be announced by next weekend. The Ministry of Health announced the postponement of NEET PG 2024 by publishing a bulletin on the official website of the Press Information Bureau.
NBE has already shared the plan with the Ministry of Education (MoE) for approval and the new date will be announced after the Ministry approves it. NBE has seven years of experience in conducting NEET PG without paper leakage due to its strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). NEET PG is a crucial exam that assesses the eligibility of MBBS graduates to enroll in postgraduate medical courses in government and private medical colleges nationwide.
