The June edition of the University Commission's National Eligibility Test (UGC NET exam 2024) has been cancelled and a retest date is awaited. Announcing the net UGC exam cancelled 2024 on Wednesday, the Ministry of Education announced that the integrity of the exam may have been compromised and it has been decided to reschedule the exam. The ugc net June 2024 was conducted on Tuesday, June 18 at 1,205 examination centers in 317 cities across the country.
NTA conducted the UGC-NET examination in 83 subjects in OMR (Pencil and Paper) mode in two shifts in different cities of the country on June 18. More than 11 million candidates appeared for the neet exam 2024 and it was cancelled a day after that as the NTA declared that "the integrity of the exam may have been compromised". To maintain transparency and integrity, the Ministry of Education has decided to cancel the UGC-NET exam from June 2024.
A total of 9,08,580 candidates appeared for the UGC net exam 2024 to pursue a Junior Research Fellowship, Associate Professorship and PhD nomination.
