Applicants must have one of the following in the relevant subject areas.

• Master's degree in engineering/technology or equivalent qualification with 60% marks, CPI 6/10 or equivalent. (55% marks or CPI 5.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST).
• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering/technology with 70% marks or KPI 7/10 or equivalent. (65% marks, CPI 6.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST).
• Master's Degree in natural sciences, arts, social sciences or equivalent qualification with 60% marks, KPI 6/10 or equivalent. (55% marks, CPI 5.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST).

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Stream

• (Candidates with B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc or equivalent qualification must have a valid GATE score).
• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) CSIR/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR Fellowship in relevant streams.
• B.Tech/Dual Degree from IIT with CPI/CGPA 8.0 or above.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience. (after the degree is received and completed before the start of the week requested enrollment) in the appropriate fields. (applicable to B.Tech/B.E. /MCA/M.Sc. candidates).

Eligibility Criteria For Science Stream

• GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET/JEST qualified in each stream.
• Research Fellowship (JRF) CSIR/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR Fellowship in relevant streams.
• A continuing degree is considered a degree if the candidate graduates before starting the Ph.D.
• B.Tech degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from an IIT with a CPI/CGPA of 8.0 or above.

Eligibility Criteria For the Humanities and Social Science stream:

• UGC-NET/GATE is required in the TA section of the university.
• UGC-Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in eligible streams under the JRF category.

IIT Goa Admission Process 2024

IIT Goa offers online admission to candidates based on both merit and entrance examinations. The admission process for the programs offered at IIT Goa is very simple and basic and candidates have to appear for any of the accepted exam like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, and others.

Here is the basic admission process the candidates need to follow to apply for the programs offered by IIT Goa.

IIT Goa Internship by School of Chemical & Material Science

The internship offered by the School of Chemical and Material Science is available for students pursuing their postgraduate studies in the relevant field. The internship duration is 5 weeks, and 3 candidates will be selected based on their past academic performance. The title of the internship is Femtochemistry in Natural and Hybrid Systems.

IIT Goa Internship by the School of Electrical Sciences

The School of Electrical Sciences offers an internship for PG students studying VLSI and similar fields of IMC. Two candidates will be selected for this internship based on their past academic performance. The internship will be based on designing circuits for Analog In-Memory Computing.

Eligibility Criteria

• The student must be enrolled in an M.Tech course with a specialization in Microelectronics.
• The student must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in their B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering.
• They must also present a No Objection Certificate duly signed by the HoD or Supervisor of their department.
