What all you need to know about B.Ed. Entrance Exam?

B. Ed is a two-year professional course that qualifies the candidate to work as a primary school teacher and as a primary school teacher. It is a skill-based training program that equips students with knowledge of all aspects of classroom teaching. In India, B.Ed. degree is mandatory for teaching at all administrative levels as well as in private schools. The National Council for Teacher Education is the statutory body that regulates teacher training courses in the country of India. The B.Ed. State universities organize an entrance exam every year and the candidates who have completed their degree from a recognized university with 55% marks are eligible to sit for this exam.

As the B.Ed. entrance exams are conducted by different State Universities here is the list of some of them:

1.Delhi B.Ed Entrance Examination

Delhi, the capital of India conducts 2 types of B.Ed. entrance exams which are conducted by Delhi University (DU) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Both universities provide 2-year B.Ed. program but the choice between the two ultimately depends on the individual needs and preferences.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Delhi B.Ed. Admission, candidates need to secure 50% marks in a bachelor's degree or a master's degree from any stream.

Admission

The Delhi B.Ed entrance exam is conducted at the state level. As a result, candidates pursuing bachelor's degrees from Delhi by cracking the Delhi B.Ed. Entrance Exam 2024. Notification for DU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2024 will be released tentatively in June.

2.Punjab B.Ed Entrance Exam

Guru Nanak Dev University conducts the state-level Punjabi B.Ed test every year to select the candidates for B.Ed. course in any college in Punjab state under any quota.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed the 10th matriculation examination and ITT course with approved marks from a recognized board/institute and he/she should be citizens of India.
• Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities/Social.
• Sciences/Commerce/BBA/BCA/B.A. LLB/B.Com LLB with minimum 50% marks (45% of reserved classes).
• Candidates with Bachelor of Science and Mathematics or Engineering with 55% marks (50% of reserved hours).
• Eligibility criteria have no upper age limit.

Admission

• Before continuing with the admission process, candidates must have a valid entrance score.
• First, visit the official website of Punjab B.Ed Admissions Eligible Admission applications should be applied online only.
• Fill in all the required information in the online application like name, date of birth, and other related details.
• Upload photos, signatures, and other documents and pay fees online.
• After the payment, candidates can take a printout of the submitted application and send it to the registered address.

3.Maharashtra B.Ed Common Entrance Test (CET)

Maharashtra CET Cell conducts the MAH B.Ed CET exam which is a state-level entrance exam. MAH B.Ed CET exam is conducted for admission to B.Ed courses in the Maharashtra region and has started its entrance exam registration MAH B.Ed CET 2024 from 10th January till 30th January.

• Applicant must be a citizen of India and must have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Science/Social Science/Mathematics/Humanities/Commerce.

• Applicants must fill in their personal information, contact information, education, exams, and other information in the application form.
• Candidates can submit photos and signatures.
• Click on the Payments tab and proceed with payment.

4.Uttar Pradesh B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination

Uttar Pradesh Undergraduate Joint Entrance Examination (UP B.Ed JEE) is the state entrance examination for B.Ed. UP BEd JEE exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper mode). Candidates who qualify for the UP BEd JEE entrance exam can participate in the two-year BEd program.

Eligibility

• The minimum marks for UP B.Ed JEE application is 50% to 55% and the candidate must be a citizen of India.
• The age limit is restricted and the minimum age limit is 21 years.

Admission

• The UP B. Ed JEE admission process involves conducting the entrance exam and publishing the results.
• Eligible candidates will be called to attend the UP B. Ed JEE counseling process, which will be conducted in four stages: choice filling, seat allotment, and confirmation of selected seats.

5.Chhattisgarh B.Ed Entrance Exam

The CG Pre B.Ed (Chhattisgarh Pre Bachelor in Education) exam is conducted at the state level once a year. This test can be used for admission to various full-time B.Ed (2 years) courses in colleges of education in Chattisgarh. CG Pre-B.Ed. is an examination administered by the government for candidates who wish to continue their professional studies for teaching.

• Applicants must be from India and must reside in Chhattisgarh.
• Candidates must have completed 10th/Matriculation and ITT from a recognized board/institute with good grades.

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum grade of 50% (45% for reserved sections).
