CAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Students must keep in mind the following guidelines/instructions for the official CAT exam date:

• Every candidate must reach the test centre at least one hour before the official exam starts time.
• The candidates are encouraged to keep with themselves two official printed copies of their CAT admit card 2024. The admit card must be printed through a reliable laser printer on an A4-sized sheet. In other words, it is a CAT hall ticket without which candidates cannot enter the exam centre.
• Students must carry with them their official ID proofs like an Aadhaar card. Moreover, every student is allowed to carry a writing pad as well as a pen for rough work inside the exam centre. Some exam centres provide a writing pad and pen. The use of a calculator and mobile phone is completely prohibited.
• Students are required to submit their ID proof and admit card with the exam invigilator. They must affix the passport-sized photograph on the admit card.
• Candidates must even use their registration/user ID to navigate the room for their exam. Every room in the exam centre is numbered according to the registration IDs of the students. Dedicated exam invigilators even assist students in finding their exam room as well as seats.
• Candidates must sign on the admit card in the presence of the exam invigilator. 
• Candidates are advised as well to dress nicely and neatly for the exam. Hoodies, goggles, jackets, and even jewellery are completely prohibited within the exam centre.
• Students are barred from bringing any kind of metal object within the examination hall. However, students with a pacemaker or a medical implant must bring a medical certificate from a recognized medical institution and doctor.
