The Central University of Jammu is a public central university in Jammu, India's state of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established by an act of Parliament in 2011 under the Central Universities Act of 2009. The University Grants Commission funds and regulates the university (UGC).
The Central University of Jammu offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in science, arts, humanities, social sciences, engineering, and management, among other subjects. The university is divided into six schools: the School of Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Business and Economics, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Humanities and Liberal Arts, and Education.
The university has a 600-acre campus in Jammu, which is located in Rahya-Suchani village. Modern facilities on campus include lecture halls, laboratories, computer centres, a library, hostels, sports facilities, and a health centre. The university also has research and academic exchange programmes with national and international universities.
