The School of Social Sciences (SOSS), Faculty of Public Administration, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) recently announced the launch of a new postgraduate program in Disaster Reduction and response to increasing natural and man-made threats.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University News also declares that the PGDDRRM program is based on a multidisciplinary approach, where training is designed based on practical experience because disaster risk reduction and Management (PGDDRRM). Eligibility Criteria, Fees, and Date

The PGDDRRM course is a 1 year PG diploma course in IGNOU as the candidates are offered a maximum of three years and a minimum of one year. Candidates with a bachelor's degree can apply for the program and there are no age limit criteria. The total program fee is INR 7,400 and the last date to apply for the IGNOU July session is 30th June. The admission application opens twice a year, during the July and January admission periods through the official website.
